About Us

The George Pub City Way Rochester is a people friendly, animal (specifically dogs) friendly, local community pub set in the heart of the Rochester, the George Pub is situated on the point of City Way, and St Williams Way, Rochester, Kent, and is an ideal friendly meeting point for all.

‘Live Music’ is scheduled and played at least monthly, these events are all ‘Free Entry’ as we just love to see a busy pub with the local community enjoying themselves spending time with friends and family, anyone is welcome. As well as evening, sporting and charity events we have an ‘Annual Beer Festival’ (early July) and ‘Annual Rum and Reggae’ event (late August) which are both held over 2 days – keep your eye on our events page on Facebook (The George Pub City Way Rochester) for dates and of course for the bands and acts we have booked.

There is a good-sized hall in our pub in Rochester, Medway, Kent that you can use as a great party venue. Our free pub hall in Rochester is available at no charge however all we do ask is that you choose our buffet option.  For more details and costings please contact us to discuss specific requirements.    

If you prefer to bring along your own buffet you are welcome to but there will be a small fee for the hall hire.

For any of the occassions booked you will be asked to cover additional cost for extra bar staff that are required.

There is ample of space for free car parking, along with additional outside drinking areas, with separate smoking areas, disabled access and facilities, along with Baby Changing facilities, and of course our fabulous garden area.

Events that we have held in our free pub hall include:-

• Wedding Receptions 
• Funeral Wakes 
• Christening parties
• Gender Reveals
• Family gatherings and many more. 

To support your special occasion there is also the option to hire a ‘Sweet Cart” and / or a ‘Flower Wall’, as well as helium balloons, the ‘George Pub City Way’ are also very accommodating and will be happy to discuss any other specific requirements that you may have for the occasion you are creating. For the event that you may be hosting you are welcome to bring along a DJ, Band or solo artist for your entertainment and to party the night away, alternatively we have a fabulous local DJ – ‘Mark Rudd’ (subject to availability) who regularly plays a tune or two here at ‘The George Pub, City Way’. Parties and events can be arranged for all.
